BioThis is a Harry Potter fandom journal, though it is mostly used for reading and commenting.
I have pretty much been in this fandom since late June 2003, otherwise known as when Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was released in bookshops. I became obsessed with the Harry Potter series in 1999, however, when I first read the first two books. I reread them constantly and was one of the many who skipped school on Prisoner of Azkaban day and lead to subsequent book launches being on Saturdays. I never stopped rereading the books... until I discovered fanfiction and then I slowed down on canon a bit!
I have been reading fanfiction pretty much since then, although my taste and how much I read has varied wildly over time, and continues to do so. I will try most things at least once. As for writing, I have written some, much of which can be found here (go to a entry with a 'fic' tag and click it, I plan to have all my fanfiction listed/available in one place... sometime).
I also write some original fiction, but am absolutely terrible at finishing things, so it is not available for public viewing. I occasionally write essays on themes in the Harry Potter world and characters relations to them and the differences between fanfic and the books, but never remember to post them here.
Oh, and I very rarely draw. I'll get some links to pics here eventually, too.
I love to read, but don't do enough of it. I'm terrible about updating, but I do follow my flist quite closely even if I don't comment. I plan to get back to writing soon.
